Four By Grace Bios
|
My name is Bert Leckie, and I sing lead with "Four by Grace". This is my first experience with singing in a quartet. I have been a follower of Jesus since 1985. I was not raised in church, but have always known that there was a GOD. I did not understand about being separated from GOD because of my sin. One day when I was at work a co-worker started telling me what his preacher had taught the past Sunday. His message was on the Great Tribulation. I was horrified by what I was hearing and scared to think I might be going through that. I asked what I had to do to miss that time of judgment. We met his pastor in a coffee shop that day on the work site and he led me through the sinner's prayer. Over the next two years GOD guided me to brothers and sisters in the faith that I needed to meet and learn from (and am still doing today).
GOD has had His hand on me all these years, and I praise His holy name for loving me first. It is my prayer that all would come to know the loving Savior Who found me. May GOD use this quartet to spread the good news of His great love, grace, and mercy.

I have been singing southern gospel music since I was a teenager, for almost 50 years. I was born in Bonifay, Florida—long-time home of the world's largest all-night gospel sing. I met my wonderful wife, Patty, who is from West Virginia, when we were in college together at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This June we will have been married for 40 years. We attend Bayside Baptist Church. We have one daughter, Suzanne, who is married to a Chattanooga policeman. We have two grandsons, Justin, 17, and Jared, 12.
I have sung in many different gospel choirs, ensembles and quartets over these past 50 years. I have sung in over 20 states and have been involved in three choir tours in Europe. I love singing and especially singing southern gospel quartet music. I am looking forward to ministering with three of my very good friends in "Four by Grace". We are excited about meeting many of our old friends and making new ones as we lift up the wonderful name of our Savior in testimony and song!

Greg Anderson was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. He began attending church at an early age and began singing at that time. After graduating from high school in Atlanta, Georgia, Greg committed his life to Christ and decided to attend Trevecca Nazarene College.
Greg's love for music and singing continued to grow and he joined the choirs in junior high, high school and at church. He was chosen to sing both as a soloist and in special groups. Greg immersed himself in a variety of musical styles and was able to absorb the best of all of them. With his strong lead voice, he has the ability to sing many styles of music. Greg truly believes that God has entrusted him to bring the gospel to those needing to hear about God's gift of salvation. He relates: "Evangelism is very important. I want people to understand their need to accept Christ as their personal Savior. I also feel that there is a need for God's people to be encouraged and reminded that we aren't home yet. The Word of God is real and our best days are ahead of us!" Greg, his wife Teresa, and their children Tiffany, and Christopher make up the family. They reside in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

I have been involved in church and gospel singing for most of my life. I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and lived there for 56 years before relocating to Chattanooga, Tennessee, 2 ½ years ago. My lovely wife, Sheila, was also born and raised in Memphis; we met when both of us attended then Memphis State University. In December we will celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We have two adult children and two beautiful grandchildren. While in Memphis I sang with the gospel quartet "Call to Worship" as one of its original members for 11 years. We sang in many different settings including performing the national anthem for 14,000 fans at a NBA Grizzlies game. We also recorded two CD's in Nashville under the supervision of gospel great Ben Speer. Being able to sing in a new quartet is very exciting, especially with my three new friends in "Four by Grace."
I am looking forward to meeting new friends as we share the love of Jesus in song. Looking forward to seeing all of you.
